VSA Qualifying Times
States is our only qualifying meet. That means that to swim at States, you must have achieved at least one qualifying time (not bonus time) during the regular season.
You can only swim events for which you have achieved the qualifying time, subject to event-total restrictions.
----------------------------------------------------------------
The pdf below contains the qualifying times to attend the VSA Championship Meet ("States"). A swimmer's age is determined by their age on the first day of the two-day meet. Regardless of qualifying times, VSA rules require that swimmers attend a minimum of two meets with the Upper Valley Rapids this season, prior to States, in order to attend States.
"But what are those 'Bonus Times'?
Swimmers can swim up to five individual events for which they achieve a qualifying time during this season. A swimmer who achieves at least one official qualifying time this season can swim additional individual events (up to a total of five) if they achieve at least the "bonus time" in those additional events. You MUST have at least one regular qualifying time in order to add events using the bonus times.
